Lawn and Edging Care
Laying New Turf:
Whilst developing a more romantic garden for the owners of this new home, the brief also involved renovating their footpath Verge.
Having never been looked after before by the previous owners it was in total disrepair and involved the taking out of the weeds and stones by a small Turf Cutter leaving a slight recess.
When this is done properly you end up with a slight recess under the concrete footpath and gutters of around 2-3 inches.
This is important as when you lay out the grass- (in this case the turf was Tall Fescue) the grass is already at the same height when laid as the surrounding hard surfaces.
This minimises loss of water when it rains or when watered by hand or by sprinkler. It also ticks the safety box as it minimises the potential accidental tripping from one area to another.
Rear Courtyard Maintenance:
Many townhouses and multi unit developments have small front and rear gardens. Lawns still play a role in these compact gardens. We use only Electric lawnmowers and whipper snippers so as to avoid ingesting toxic fumes.
